🌿 Help Build the Future of Sisu Refuge
Advisory & Fundraising Committee Opportunities
Sisu Refuge is seeking mission-aligned individuals to support our work by serving on our Advisory and Fundraising Committees.
These roles are designed for people who want to contribute their skills, experience, and perspective in a focused, hands-on way—without the formal fiduciary obligations of board service.
🐷 About Sisu Refuge
Founded in 2019, Sisu Refuge provides lifelong sanctuary to farmed animals rescued from neglect, abuse, abandonment, and disaster situations, with a specialized focus on large-breed pigs and complex rescue cases.
As our rescue work, medical care, and national reach continue to grow, we are building strong advisory support to help guide fundraising strategy, communications, operations, and long-term sustainability.
💛 Advisory & Fundraising Committees
Committee members support Sisu Refuge by offering expertise, strategic insight, and practical assistance in specific areas. These roles are ideal for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact without the time commitment of board service.
Current areas of focus include:
-
Fundraising & Development Advisory
(campaign planning, donor strategy, peer-to-peer fundraising, grants support) -
Communications & Outreach Advisory
(messaging, storytelling, media, supporter engagement) -
Operations / Administrative Advisory
(systems, organization, project management, internal processes)
Committee roles are collaborative, flexible, and designed around real organizational needs.

Fundraising, development, or grant strategy
-
Finance, accounting, or budgeting
-
Marketing, communications, or media
-
Operations, logistics, or project management
-
Legal, compliance, or HR
-

-
Participate in periodic committee meetings (typically virtual)
-
Contribute insight, feedback, or hands-on support as needed
-
Collaborate respectfully with staff, board members, and other advisors
-
Support Sisu Refuge’s mission, values, and long-term sustainability
